ZOOM WORKSHOP – WEDNESDAY 26TH OCTOBER – 2022 PORTFOLIO EXERCISE

The final Wednesday night ZOOM presentation for 2022 will be held this coming Wednesday night, Wednesday 26th October commencing at 7.00pm. As usual the meeting room will be open from 6.45pm.

Through 2022 eight club members have been working on assembling a portfolio of images on their chosen theme. Our work has been facilitated by Craig Parker and Roy Killen through monthly ZOOM sessions in a collaborative, learning environment. Each members work is a reflection of their diverse interests.

This presentation will begin with Craig outlining the approach followed for the portfolio exercise and then each of the participants will present their portfolio outlining their motivation, approach and some of the challenges they encountered along the way. I am sure that you will find this session interesting and informative.

Instagram Images Needed

Hi everyone,

Please don’t forget that we run an Instagram page to feature the club’s awarded images.  The page is designed to attract interest to our club, and new members as well.

If you would like any of your merit, honours or judges choice images from this year featured on our Instagram site, please email them through to belmont16sphoto.insta@gmail.com in an appropriate size. You can also add your watermark or signature to the file.

Our previous newsletters this year have provided information regarding copyright risks, and I would encourage you to read these before submitting an image if you have copyright concerns.

The appropriate sizes for instagram can be found at:  https://later.com/blog/instagram-image-size/

If you already use Instagram please find and follow us at Belmont16sphotoClub.

ZOOM WORKSHOP WED OCT 19TH

The next Zoom workshop is on Wednesday 19th October at 7pm.

TOPIC: Make the most of what you capture

Capturing good images is just the start; you also have to be able to process your images to make the most of each capture. Sometimes the image may need only minor adjustments, other times it might need a lot of work. Knowing where to start and when to stop with your editing is critical, and it is these ideas that Roy Killen will explain and explore in this workshop.

The workshop will be suitable for members at all levels and it does not matter what software you use or what subjects you like to photograph.

To join the workshop, follow the link on the club website. Login will open at 6.45pm.
