Cancellation of Print Nights and 2021 Print Competitions
At our August Committee Meeting the difficult decision was taken to cancel the remaining Print Nights and the 2021 Print Competitions as a result of the unfolding Covid 19 outbreak in the Greater Sydney and Hunter regions. Your committee understands how important these nights are to members socially and to what the club is able to offer from a photography perspective. Rest assured the committee will be monitoring the Covid 19 situation and the health guidelines and will advise the resumption of our Print Competition nights when it is safe and practicable to do so.
As we did last year all members who have submitted entries in the 2021 Print Competitions can now re-enter those images in the remaining digital competitions so that they can ultimately enter the same image in the club Image of the Year Competitions.
In lieu of the monthly competition nights the club will offer image evaluation sessions along the same lines as we ran earlier in July. All members are encouraged to upload images for discussion and evaluation by 11.55pm on Tuesday 17th August. The image evaluation session will be held via ZOOM on the following Wednesday night, 18th August.

August Raw Image Challenge
Time for a new challenge! Roy Killen has supplied the image for this month and following on from Roy’s Zoom workshop this challenge is to convert his image to monochrome. If you missed the workshop the other night you can find a series of PDF files to download from Roy’s webpage. They will cover many techniques to convert your colour image to monochrome.

URGENT!
As you know we have our Annual General Meeting on August 11th at which all current Committee positions are declared vacant. No nominations for two of the most important positions have been received. We need to fill the offices of President and Treasurer of this club for the next 12 months. Our club cannot operate without people to occupy these 2 positions.
