To promote the exchange of information and ideas about photography through the provision of education and training programmes, newsletters, a website, and other means.

To encourage and assist members to participate in photographic competitions both within and beyond the Club.

PSA Interclub Entries Needed NOW

Images for our club entry in Round 1 of the PSA Interclub Competition must be submitted by 15th October. Full details of these Interclub competitions can be downloaded from the “Club Documents” page of our website.

ALL club members are invited to participate. It’s easy – just enter the same way you enter monthly competitions. Please at least consider entering some of the images you are going to use as your IOTY entries. Don’t be shy! It’s free and you have nothing to lose.

PSA Interclub Competitions

Entries are open for the PSA Interclub competitions and full details will be available in the next Skiffy newsletter. Entries can be submitted on the normal club competition entry page.

ALL club members are invited to enter. If you think that you might enter any of the PSA Interclub competitions, please download the “Permission for PSA to Use Images” document from the link below so that your images can be shown on the PSA website. This permission is not compulsory but it will help to promote our club. After you sign the form (physically or electronically) please email it to me.

PSA INTERCLUB COMPETITIONS

Our club will be entering the PSA Interclub competitions again this year. Full details about the competitions can be downloaded from the “Club Documents” page of our website.

Entries for Round 1 of these competitions close on 15^th October. If you follow the usual procedure for entering club competitions, you will see the five Interclub competitions for Round 1 listed.

The club Zoom meeting on Wednesday 5^th August will be very helpful for members considering entering the Photojournalism or Photo Travel sections of the PSA Interclub competitions.

Zoom Workshop – PJ and Photo Travel

The next Zoom Workshop for club members will be on Wednesday 5^th August at 7.30pm. The presenter will be Roy Killen and the topic is “Photojournalism and Photo Travel Images”.

Topics covered in this workshop will include:

Interpreting the definitions for Photojournalism and Photo Travel.
Selecting the best images for PJ and Photo Travel competitions.

This workshop will help members select and prepare images for the PSA-Interclub competitions (which are opening soon) and for other competitions with PJ or Photo Travel sections.

If you have attended a previous Belmont 16s Zoom meeting you will receive an invitation email on Wednesday – simply follow the link on your device if you wish to attend.

If you have not attended any previous Belmont 16s Zoom meetings but would like to participate in this new meeting please email Greg Caruthers and he will add you to the invitation list and help with any issues you may have.
