Notice re AGM 2021
NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Please note that the AGM for the Belmont 16s Photography Club will take place on August 11th 2021 by Zoom. The meeting will commence at 6.30pm and will be followed by the Zoom presentation re Black and white Travel Photography at 7.00pm.
All committee positions will fall vacant immediately prior to the commencement of the AGM. These positions include: President, Vice President, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Assistant Secretary plus 5 General Committee Members.
Members who wish to nominate themselves for a position on committee need to send an email to the Secretary Susan Slack (gordon.slack15@bigpond.com) stating the position they wish to nominate for. Members who wish to nominate another member for a position must first obtain permission by the nominated member and they must notify the Secretary to that effect. Each nomination for self or for another member should also have the name of the seconder included in details sent to the Secretary who will verify each nomination’s details.
All nominations must be received no later than 7 days prior to the AGM (midnight on 4th August 2021).Where no nominations for a particular position are received within the time noted above, nominations may be called for on the night. If no nominations are received on the night the position is declared vacant again. The committee may appoint a member directly at a later date if necessary.
At least 2 committee members have already declared their intention to not ask for renomination at the AGM. These include the current President. This is an essential position. One position is not an official Constitutional one but essential to the smooth running of the club: namely Membership Coordinator. Annette Collins can give more information about this role. Please contact her by email if you are interested. The address is annette.collins@me.com) It is not a difficult role I am assured. Nominations for this role are not required.
NOTICE OF MOTION Please note also that due to some difficulties arising from Covid 19 regarding determination of membership of our patron club, we need to make a minor change to the Constitution: The proposed change is as follows
“ Fees and Subscriptions part d.
“Membership of Belmont 16ft Sailing Club Ltd shall be confirmed to the Honorary
Treasurer in April each year by forwarding a copy of the receipt for membership to the Honorary Treasurer or a current membership card by any appropriate means”
A motion to this effect will be made at the AGM
A copy of the AGM minutes for 2020 and the agenda for the AGM 2021 will be available on the club website closer to the time of the AGM.

The Entrance Camera Club invites you…
Members of The Entrance Camera Club with students from Kariong Mountains High School recently took part in a Central Coast Council photographic project, InterGen.
The InterGen photography initiative was a seven week program developed to support a unique intergenerational photographic exchange between the Entrance Camera Club members and students from Kariong Mountains High School.
Yesterday The Entrance Camera Club participants spent the day setting up the exhibition of images captured during the project. It is an amazing exhibition and we would like members of your Camera/Photography Club to come and see it.
The official opening is tomorrow, Saturday 5th June at 11am at The Community Gallery, Gosford Regional Galley. The opening times and dates for the exhibition are given below and in the attached flyer. On Thursday 17 June the exhibition moves to The Erina Centre at Erna Fair for a month.

Exciting new concept
PORTFOLIO CHALLENGE.
A portfolio is a selection of images that make up a whole so that several individual photographs become one body of work. Your club is encouraging a portfolio approach in 2021 in addition to our regular EDI comps so you can explore and improve your photographic journey. All you need is an idea you want to explore using the medium of photography.
Each portfolio should use 6 images that follow the theme being explored plus a final 7th image that helps pull together the preceding images. You can use any images already used in other comps.
Images should be the same size as in EDI comps and we will ask you to have a title for the portfolio as well as a statement of intent. Sounds a bit intimidating? We hope to organise mentors where possible. It will be an all year project officially starting right now and closing in October and we will review entries to gauge progress. At this stage we see it as a way to grow and have your work evaluated by experts but we may decide to offer award incentives.
An upcoming Zoom presentation by Craig Parker, winner of a distinction in PSA Portfolio work, on Wed 24th Feb 7pm should help you understand more about this form of project and Craig may agree to be a judge.
This is a great way to challenge yourself. More info will follow but to familiarise yourself with the concept of a portfolio, have a look at this site
