APS Australian Cup pre-selection extended

Each year the Australian Photographic Society (APS) conducts an annual interclub competition for camera clubs across Australia. A pre-selection competition will be held within our club to select the twenty entries to go forward.
Our advanced grade members will judge the pre-selection competition. Last year we came tenth and in the previous year seventh.
Each member can put forward two entries. You can nominate any image that was not previously selected for this competition.
Entries now close on Sunday, 17th May.

All club meetings cancelled
In view of the latest and best advice re Corona virus threat, the committee has decided to suspend all future Print competitions until safe to resume. Electronic image competitions will continue as usual. The committee has also decided to suspend all scheduled Photography Club meetings until further notice. This includes all presentations, committee meetings and club competition meetings .

Cancellation of Club Print competition night 18.3.2020
In view of the uncertain situation re the Corona virus COVID-19, the Belmont 16’s Photography Club Committee has decided to cancel our regular club meeting on Wednesday 18th March. The print competition for that night is also cancelled. Decisions re all future club meetings will be made as soon as possible. Normal monthly digital competitions will continue as usual.

PSA Interclub Competitions
Results are in for Round 2 of the Nature competition. We came 2nd and are now sitting in 3rd place overall out of 24 clubs.
Entries for Round 3 of the PSA Interclub competitions close on 1st April – normal entry procedure on our club website.
When you select the section to enter – Open (Colour or mono), Nature, Photojournalism or Photo Travel you will be able to see the entries of other club members. This might help you to decide which of your images to enter, particularly in Nature, PJ and Travel, so that you are not entering images that are very similar to others. (This is a new feature that was not previously enabled.)
If you view the entries for the Round 2 competitions, you will be able to see the score that each image obtained when our Advanced Grade members were selecting the club entries. (This is a new feature that was not previously enabled.)
