Street Photography Interest Group
The Street Photography Interest Group will be kicking off via a Zoom presentation by myself this coming Tuesday night, 20th August, commencing at 7.30pm. The presentation will introduce street photograpghy as a genre of photography and will discuss equipment, camera settings, subjects, techniques, safety, legal and ethical considerations.
The presentation will be followed by a photoshoot on Sunday 25th August at Carrington. We will be meeting at Groundup Espresso, 120 Young Street, Carrington at 12noon. Around 1.00pm we will head off and wander the streets of Carrington with the aim of capturing some images that “talk to” the character of Carrington. Finish around 3.00pm. If you intend to come on the photoshoot please RSVP to myself via email bicton36@gmail.com or by text 0438 403 933.
Everyone is welcome to attend the zoom session and the outing.

2024 Annual General Meeting Agenda
The 2024 AGM for our club will be held at Valentine Bowling Club on Wednesday 21st August at 7pm. This will precede the August Club night.

- To receive the club’s 2024 Financial Reports – Financial Annual Report 2024 and Financial Notes for AGM 2024
- Election of committee members for 2024-2025. – refer Presidents Report
- General Business
- Date of next AGM – 2nd Wednesday in August 2025
- Close of AGM.
The Club must elect the following positions: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and a minimum number of 3 general committee members. This is the minimum but there is scope for additional general committee members.
The specified positions are essential to the running of the club. There are several other important roles which are also necessary that do not require formal voting at the AGM.

Wangi Workers Camera Club (11 – 19 Market Street, Wangi Wangi) have extended an invitation to our members to attend a presentation at their club on Monday 26th August, commencing at 7.00pm.
Samuel Markham will be presenting. Samuel is one of Australia’s leading photographers and was recently crowned the ‘Australian Geographic 2023 Nature Photographer of the Year. He has worked alongside many reputable brands such as Canon, Australian Photography Magazine, the Australian Museum and the BBC. Following is an outline of his talk.

Samuel Markham is a self-taught landscape and wilderness photographer based on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. His artistic endeavours are grounded in a profound respect and awe for both nature and its almighty creator, seeking to convey reverence through the images he captures.
