Cessnock City Library hosts Belmont 16s Photography Club Exhibition June 2019.

The Exhibition is now open and it looks great. As we worked, we received many positive comments about the standard of the professional images.

Thanks to our helpers, Thomas Buckwalter, Bill Chambers, Jill Helps, Katherine James, Rob Oyston, Susan Slack and Colin Schofield, the work of hanging the images, was quickly completed. A special thank you to Katherine James for organising and framing both exhibitions.

John Alessi – Audio Visual Productions 22 May

John delivered a very interesting and information presentation on Audio Visual productions, using Proshow Gold software. He encouraged us to share our images by producing attention grabbing productions.

Proshow Gold allows the user to produce stimulating shows which can be include still images, video clips and music for the web, social media, computer and TV. The software uses transparency layers to provide movement in still images. John talked about how composite images in Australia have dated back to Frank Hurley who used 12 glass negative plates to depict a battle scene in WWI in 1918

John showed us some of stunning productions, using his images and those of his wife Leanne. He also mentioned tutorials which can be found on You Tube for Proshow Gold.

It was obvious that John had spent a lot of time and effort to put together a wonderful presentation for our club. Thank you John for a wonderful presentation and for all of your hard work.

Congratulations Colin Woods

The National Digital Portrait Exhibition 2019 was viewed at the club last night. Congratulations to Colin for organising this wonderful competition. The images were of very high standard and it was interesting to see the judges’ selections from each state.

Congratulations Annette Collins for your successes in the competition.

Colin is now working on ideas for the 2020 competition.

Thank you for those members who attended. Thank you also for your donations to the Parkinson’s Disease Charity, $120 was raised on the night.
