Welcome

The club caters for photographers of all skill levels from beginners to highly experienced. You do not need expensive camera equipment to participate in club activities.

We meet at the Valentine Bowling Club at 7.00pm on the second Wednesday of each month. Members can participate in graded print and digital competitions. ZOOM tutorial sessions and hands on workshops occur on the third and fourth Wednesday in each month. Go to About/Help/Contact for more information.

About our club

Lake Macquarie Camera Club Inc. is an incorporated association that was previously the Belmont 16s Photography Club. We meet at the Valentine Bowling Club on the eastern side of Lake Macquarie. Club members are required to join Valentine Bowling Club as social members.

Objectives of the Club

To provide members of the club with opportunities to advance the standard of their pictorial and technical photographic work.

To promote the exchange of information and ideas about photography through the provision of education and training programmes, newsletters, a website, and other means.

To encourage and assist members to participate in photographic competitions both within and beyond the Club.

It’s a Knockout

 

Reminder to all members It’s a Knockout is on next Wednesday night at VBC at 7pm

To be involved enter 1 EDI image in the Knockout competition in the members  area

Your image must be in colour and must not have been entered into any other previous competition.

Everyone has a chance to win a prize including Ulanzi LED light and Tripod with many other consolation prizes.

You just have to make an entry and turn up on the night. Entries close Tuesday at 11.55pm

‘SCAPES’ Photography Interest group

I will be coordinating the SCAPES Photography interest group, and I have attached a brief outline of the focus of this group. Predominantly it will cover Landscapes, Seascapes, and City scapes, with a format of a monthly Zoom session and a monthly field photo shoot. Zoom Workshop on Wednesday July 17th

Our Zoom workshop on this Wednesday July 17th and is with Nilmini De Silva. Nil is an outstanding Australian photographer who has won awards of excellence in both Aust and international competitions.

Her topic will be “Finding inspiration from compelling images”  This will be an interactive workshop and a chance to learn from one of the best!

Zoom will open from 6.45pm with a start time of 7.00pm

Street Photography Interest Group
