The club caters for photographers of all skill levels from beginners to highly experienced. You do not need expensive camera equipment to participate in club activities.

We meet at the Valentine Bowling Club at 7.00pm on the second Wednesday of each month. Members can participate in graded print and digital competitions. ZOOM tutorial sessions and hands on workshops occur on the third and fourth Wednesday in each month. Go to About/Help/Contact for more information.

About our club

Lake Macquarie Camera Club Inc. is an incorporated association that was previously the Belmont 16s Photography Club. We meet at the Valentine Bowling Club on the eastern side of Lake Macquarie. Club members are required to join Valentine Bowling Club as social members.

Objectives of the Club

To provide members of the club with opportunities to advance the standard of their pictorial and technical photographic work.

To promote the exchange of information and ideas about photography through the provision of education and training programmes, newsletters, a website, and other means.

To encourage and assist members to participate in photographic competitions both within and beyond the Club.

NORTHERN PHOTOGRAPHIC FEDERATION (NPF) – Convention and Competition Updated Program

The NPF weekend will be held next Saturday and Sunday, 27th and 28th August at the Kurri Kurri Bowling Club. As foreshadowed in earlier posts the program for the weekend has changed from my previous post. Last Zoom Workshop for August

Hi Everyone this Wednesday August 24th Colin Stalker will be our presenter for our Zoom presentation starting at 7pm.

Colin is a local landscape photographer and a “YouTube Vlogger” He specialises in seascapes, waterfalls and panoramas.

Make sure you use the Zoom link on our webpage and and login from 6.45pm

Colin will be presenting plenty of tips and tricks for landscape compositions, exposure settings and some secret locations.

World Photography Day 2022

Hi Everyone

August 19th  today! is “World Photography Day”. So time to dust off your cameras , time to TAKE SOME PHOTOS Your images must be taken today or over the weekend.  Pick your best and upload to the website( in the members area) before 11.55 pm Monday.

The top 10 entries will receive digital certificates.

The theme for your image must be “MY LOCAL AREA”  eg Lake Mac, Newcastle, Port Stephens etc so judges must be able to recognise this in your composition

Judges will be committee members
