October Club Night Reminder
Our next club night will be at the Valentine Bowling Club at 7.00pm on Tuesday 11th October and NOT the Wednesday night. This month our guest speaker will be Alex Hunter who will talk about his career as a photographer, accompanied by some of his images. Many of you know Alex but for some of our newer members Alex is one of the club’s life members. I encourage you to have a look at some of his work on the club’s website and you will see what an accomplished and passionate photographer he is. A talk not to be missed.
If you would like to enter one the club print competitions and you cannot make it to the club night with your prints you can always arrange for another club member to bring your prints along on the night and place them on the stands. Whilst you will not be able to hear the judges’ “live” comments at least your print will be scored and you will be offering valuable competition to the other entrants. I am at most print nights so if someone has prints and they would like them judged please contact me and drop off your prints at my place and I will ensure they get to the club night. Remember entries close 11.00pm Sunday 9th October. You still have time.
Again, can I encourage members who are attending the club nights to join the Valentine Bowling Club (VBC) as social members. The club is allowing us to use their upstairs function room without charge for our meetings and they welcome any support that our club can provide in return.

October Raw Image Challenge
Last challenge for the year! Time to test out your editing skills. Find the October Raw Image Challenge in the members area and download the raw file.
Now edit using your preferred editing program, then upload the file for judging before the end of the month.
NOTE – Last months images are available for all members to judge. Go to members area and find blue scoring button and follow the prompts.
