A Course for Potential Judges

The New South Wales Federation of Camera Clubs (FCC), in partnership with Bill Chambers & Roy Killen, will be holding a Photographic Judges’ Course in Newcastle on Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October, 2023.

This is an opportunity for club members who would like to become involved in judging club competitions to develop their skills in image evaluation and critique. Developing your skills as a judge is a great way to improve your own photography.

If you would like to attend the course, please email Bill Chambers at Ambodiver@gmail.com or Roy Killen at roykillen@gmail.com.  Places in the course are very limited so please register your interest as soon as possible.

The cost of the course and other details will be finalised soon and sent to all those who express interest in participating.

Problem fixed with Raw Image Challenge

There was a glitch with August Raw Image Challenge. I am hoping it is now fixed.

It should be available for all members to enter and download the file to edit.

Important change for Zoom this week

It was obvious that there was a clash with our regular Zoom Workshop tomorrow night and the Matildas semi final match.

Roy has decided to move his Zoom presentation on “Layers and Masks” to Friday night 18th August starting 7pm.

Now everyone is free to support the Matildas!

For those who still cannot make Friday I will record the workshop and a link will be provided so that you wont miss out!

Go the Aussies!

Zoom Workshop this Wednesday August 16th

I don’t know of any photographer that when they hear the words Photoshop, Layers and Masks in the one sentence, they stop what they are doing and tune in simply because they want to learn and expand on their knowledge.

Well here is your opportunity to sit in with a person who is a master when it comes to these 3 words and how they can be used to improve on your photo editing skills.

Roy Killen will lead the Zoom tutorial on “How to use Layers and Masks in your Photo Editing”

From 6.45pm on Wednesday night just follow the Zoom link on the website for a 7pm start

See you there GregC
