IOTY Presentation Night and Voting

Thank you for the team of dedicated workers who organized this night.  A lot of hard work and “anxt” goes on behind the scenes to present such a successful event as this.  It was thoroughly enjoyed by the members and they were treated to a vast display of mouth-watery images. Congratulations to all award winners.

Club members it is now your turn to vote.  Go into Competitions.  Click on the top left hand side blue button which is labelled “image of the year”.  The top image for each category will appear.  Click on the image of your choice and the system will allow you to vote.  Remember you may only vote for ONE image.                                                 Thanks to Rob Oyston for the images.

Thank you Neville Foster

Last week, Neville Foster gave a very interesting practical presentation on Macro Photography.  He set up his camera gear and brought along flowers of various shapes and sizes, as well as (shock horror, fake) dragonflies and butterflies to demonstrate the best angles to capture the perfect macro.  He even demonstrated taking a portrait shot using his 180mm macro lens.

Neville shared a lot of tips and tricks and we did find out that F18 was his favourite aperture setting!

Thank you Neville.
