Zoom Workshop “Copyright and your images”

Everyone is invited to our next Zoom workshop to be held on Wednesday April 17th at 7pm

Topic – Copyright and your images” Anthony O’Brien will be presenting

Anthony is the Copyright Advisor at the University of Newcastle. In addition to supporting the copyright needs of the University for teaching and research, he assists staff and students with commercial copyright, open licensing, Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP), and general IP questions.

Anthony will cover key aspects of copyright for photography, including your rights as creators and how you can protect your work. He’ll also look at considerations around ownership when using newer editing tools and AI platforms.

Workshop – “Introduction to basic image editing”

The club will be running a hands on workshop on “Basic Image Editing” at VBC upstairs in the board room, on Wednesday 17th April at 10am

The workshop will be looking at a beginners introduction to Lightroom Classic however many editing techniques will also apply to other editing programs.

You will need to supply your own laptop or you can look on with others. If you are having any issues, now is the time to ask those basic questions re editing your images.

Session starts at 10am to midday, followed by lunch, then a final session ending at 2pm

This workshop is open to all members. Those attending will need to register via email, so I have an idea of numbers.

April Raw Image Challenge

This months Raw Image Challenge is now open for all members and you can download the file for editing from within the competition in the members area.

Simply edit the file, then upload before the end of the month. Everyone now has access to score the images from the March entries. Follow the blue tab next to the March competition and score each image out of 5
