Bus/Boat Trip Sunday 29th April

Just a little reminder for those coming on the bus/boat trip on Sunday.  You need to be in the car park at the Belmont 16s around 7.30 am for an 8 am sharp departure (we would hate to leave you sitting on the club steps).  Morning tea will be served aboard after we arrive with a two course meal at lunch time.  The bus will depart Taree around 2.30 pm and we should be back in Belmont around 4 – 4.30 pm.  Please bring umbrellas and rain coats to scare the rain away …. and of course your cameras.

Set Subject for May 2018 – Colour and Unusual Design in Architecture

It has been suggested that I clarify the set subject for May and it is Architecture (see definition below) and NOT Feathers.  Feathers will be the set subject for September.

MAY – COLOUR AND UNUSUAL DESIGN IN ARCHITECTURE – Judge is Diane
SchofieldPhotographers should look for the use of colour and unusual design in a building to capture the attention and emotions of the viewer. Images may be taken of building interiors or exteriors. People may be included, but the emphasis must be focused on the colour and unusual design of the building.

Tonight’s presentation by Colin Woods

A huge thank you to Colin Woods for his very informative presentation tonight on “establishing a web presence for your photography”.  Colin touched on most aspects of how you might share your photography with others through building your own website or through the many social media sites and photo sharing groups – the benefits and risks.  I believe he touched on areas many have never given thought to exploring before.  Thank you to those club members and visitors we were present tonight – I do hope you enjoyed the evening.

Valentine Sunset Meet Up – Sunday 2nd April 2017

Don’t forget the club outing on the foreshore opposite the Valentine Bowling Club on Sunday 2nd April 2017.  It’s an ideal time for club members and their family/friends to get together to enjoy the magic of this time of day.  I suggest meeting at 5pm, bring your chairs, drinks, nibblies and of course the cameras.  For those who would like to stay on for dinner at the bowling club then please contact Bev ASAP at bevwoodman46@gmail.com – see you there.
