Lake Macquarie Aerial Photo Shoot

NOTE: This is a promotional activity organised by Canon Australia.

This is Up, up and away! Take in the best of Lake Macquarie with your Camera and the doors off on a helicopter flight.

The Canon Collective has partnered with Skyline Aviation to bring you this unique opportunity. This experience provides you with a variety of vantage points and a unique perspective to capture Lake Macquarie from the air with a 20 minuets flight. Sessions run from 7:30am until 5pm. You will have the chance to take up an assortment of Canon’s best gear on the flight to help you nail the shot, and you will be briefed with tips and tricks prior to departure to ensure you are well prepared once in the air

Minimum 2 passengers for each flight. Photographers will be on the left side of the aircraft with the doors off. Seating will be at the discretion of the pilot for the purposes of weight and balance. Any questions or inquiries, please contact Brett from Skyline Aviation on 4945 1491.

Please note: All bookings are through Skyline Aviation.

THIS IS NOT A PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB ARRANGED ACTIVITY AND IS PROVIDED FOR YOUR INFORMATION

APS Australian Cup Selection competition results

Thank you to all that entered this competition and to the11 judges in Advanced grade for their great effort.

The top twenty scoring images have been submitted to the APS as our entry.

The APS Selection Cup competition is now visible in Members >  View Completed Competitions.

UPDATE: message sent out did not have the results page link

Click here for the APS results report This report shows the scores for each entry. This score is the sum of all the judges’ scores. The fractional scores come from the system ignoring the judge’s score for their own entry, and using the average of all other scores given for the entry.

Two images tied for the twentieth place. This was given to Margot Huges’ Crested Cariama on the flip of a coin.

All members of the Advanced Group – time to score the Australia Cup selection comp

All members of the advanced group will be sent an invitation email to score the selection competition for the Australian Cup.

This is a very simple process and should take around 10 – 15 minutes.  Please read the instructions in the email carefully.

  • Click on the first image to see in full screen. Enter a number between one and five to give it that score. The next image will then appear.
  • Continue until you have scored all images.
  • When all images have been scored, you will be shown them grouped by score. Review that the scores are correct and then submit your scoring.
  • If you see your own image give it any score, as it will be ignored and the average of all other scores for your entry will be used.

Please complete these ASAP –  Judging will be closed off on Thursday, May 31.

The highest scoring twenty images will be put forward as the clubs’ entry in the APS Australian Cup.
